Fire officer’s dagger.
Fittings in cast brass; the pommel is ovoid with a rivet-head knob, and the crossguard is cup-shaped with two quillons curling towards the point. Fluted black horn handle. White blade with two fuller grooves and a flat back, showing slight signs of oxidation in places, with no maker’s mark or hallmark. Blackened leather scabbard with a central back seam and two brass fittings; the chape features a shield-shaped button.
