Fire officer’s dagger, without scabbard.
Fittings in cast brass; the pommel is ovoid with a rivet-head knob, and the crossguard is cup-shaped with two quillons curling towards the point. Handle in fluted black horn. Blade with a light grey patina, stained in places, double-edged with two fuller grooves and a central ridge, without maker’s mark or hallmark.
