France, Second Empire (1852–1870) – Third Republic (1870–1940). Set of three belt plates for a naval officer’s belt. - Two belt plates, Model 1853. In gilded brass featuring a spread-out naval anchor surmounted by the imperial crown. The trigger guard and hook on one of the plates have been modified and removed. - Model 1853-70 belt plate. In gilded brass with a spread-out naval anchor. (In fairly good condition).
