Small 1831-style sword (lightweight version known as the 1855 model), for the Fire Brigade.
Cast brass mount with 26 flutes. Crossguard ending in quillons decorated with perforated and flattened discs, a variant for the Fire Brigade. Stained white blade, double-edged with double fuller grooves and a central ridge, without manufacturer’s mark or hallmark. Blackened leather scabbard with a central back seam and two brass fittings; the pommel has an oval-shaped button.
