France, mid-19th century. Flobert-system target pistol. 6 mm calibre, single-shot. All metal parts retain their white-polished finish. The frame and breech block are engraved with floral friezes. Octagonal barrel with rear sight and front sight. Steel trigger guard with finger rest, chiselled with a small matching decoration. Renaissance-style walnut stock, carved with a matching decoration and varnished, with a stepped steel cap. Functional single-action mechanism with two distinct cocking notches, free of play. Barrel interior with surface oxidation. 27 cm (Barrel 16 cm). (Needs cleaning, in good condition).
