Description
France, Second Empire (1852–1870). Flobert-system target pistol. 6 mm Flobert calibre. Single-shot. All metal parts with a light grey patina, mottled with traces of rust spots. Octagonal barrel with front sight and rear sight, chiselled with a small geometric frieze decoration. Steel trigger guard with finger rest, chiselled with arabesques. Renaissance-style walnut stock, carved with plant motifs and a pointed steel cap. Functional mechanism with two clear cocking notches and no play. Inside of the barrel is dirty. 37 cm (Barrel 23.5 cm). (Signs of wear and use, fairly good condition).
