France, Third Republic (1870–1940). Set of four shako or kepi insignia, circa 1870–1900. - Crossed cannons in gilded brass with a tricolour blue-white-red scalloped metal cockade, for an artillery officer’s shako. - Tricolour blue-white-red cockade, comprising three superimposed cockades, each in scalloped metal. - Flaming grenade in gilded brass with a tricolour blue-white-red scalloped metal cockade. - Flaming grenade in copper-coloured brass, with a slightly damaged attachment on the back. (Signs of wear and minor damage from use; in fairly good condition).
