A fine set of uniforms belonging to a captain of the 6th Regiment of African Chasseurs of Mascara, part of the Oran Division.
- His 1889-model light cavalry officer’s overcoat.
Made of fine sky-blue wool cloth, fastening vertically with five four-strand goat-hair brandebourgs ending in trefoils and secured with guipée-covered olives. The back is trimmed with butterfly-shaped braid. The collar is trimmed with astrakhan. The sleeves are trimmed with flat, spear-shaped braid and astrakhan. On the left breast, there are traces of a legion insignia attachment. The inner lining is made of astrakhan. There is a tailor’s label. Worn.
