Model 1882 infantry officer’s sabre, privately made, with no markings or hallmarks.
Hilt with three secondary branches in nickel silver, pommel monogrammed ‘CI’. Black horn tang with filigree. Buffalo leather scabbard (replaced and later). Blade is white, stained in places with small traces of oxidation, featuring two fuller grooves and a small central ridge, with no maker’s mark or hallmark. Steel scabbard originally fitted with a single suspension ring, with a nickel-plated finish (remnants). It comes with a regulation leather strap, showing some wear.
