A rare Model 1882 infantry officer’s sabre, privately manufactured by “Fabrique Française à Paris”.
Hilt with three secondary branches in nickel-plated metal. Black horn pommel with filigree decoration. Natural leather scabbard present. Nickel-plated blade with fuller, bearing the maker’s mark on the heel: “Fabrique Française à Paris”. Nickel-plated steel scabbard, with traces of oxidation in places, featuring a suspension ring.
