Sword of a brigadier of the Gendarmerie de la Garde or a non-commissioned officer of the military justice branch of the Gendarmerie, or a non-commissioned officer of the Gendarmerie of the 1853 or 1872 models, the motif on the hilt worn away. Cast brass mountings decorated with garlands of foliage. Ovoid pommel. Smooth guard without decoration (erased). Articulated Manchuan-style counter-guard. White blade, with two fuller grooves, without markings or hallmarks. No tie. Blackened leather scabbard with a central back seam and two brass fittings.
