Description
Belgium, second half of the 19th century. Small centre-fire revolver of the "FAGNUS-MAQUAIRE" type, manufactured in Liège. Calibre approx. 7 mm. All metal parts retain their original bronze finish. Fluted, rifled barrel. Cylinder stamped "ELG" and "Z" beneath a star around the chambers on the loading side. On the left-hand side, the mechanism cover plate is removable; it is opened using a lever located on the right-hand side. Black ebonite grip panels with a fine checkered pattern. Retractable trigger. Functional single and double-action mechanism, with a crisp cocking notch and no play. Barrel interior dirty but with good rifling. Complete. 16 cm (barrel 7 cm). (Signs of wear and minor cosmetic damage; revolver in its original condition; in fairly good condition).
