LEFAUCHEUX "THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL OF 1878" bolt-action revolver, manufactured in Liège.
Calibre approx. 7 mm. Serial number 20. All metal parts retain their original nickel-plated finish, worn in places with traces of surface oxidation. Octagonal barrel. Frame marked ‘starred Z’. Open frame and smooth six-shot cylinder, engraved "THE GUARDIAN AMERICAN MODEL OF 1878", stamped "ELG" and "starred H". Cleaning rod present. Smooth black ebonite grip panels. Single- and double-action cocking mechanism in working order, crisp and free of play. Barrel interior oxidised with a rust bloom and shallow rifling. Complete.
16 cm (barrel 7 cm).
