Belgium, circa 1870–80. Flobert-system target pistol. Approx. 5.5 mm calibre, single-shot. Serial no. 611. All metal parts retain their original patina, with traces of rust spots in places. Long rifled barrel, octagonal at the muzzle and round at the mouth, fitted with a front sight and rear sight. Proof marks on the frame and barrel: ‘U’ under a crown and ‘B’ under a crown. Trigger under the trigger guard; trigger guard damaged and missing. Stock panels in finely checkered walnut. Mechanism non-functional, hammer does not strike, not jammed.
