Description
Morocco, second half of the 19th century. Long MOUKALA rifle. All metal parts with a light grey patina. Miquelet-type flintlock. Barrel with a square-bore muzzle, then round, featuring a front sight and rear sight, and ending in a bulge at the muzzle. Long-stocked wooden buttstock, with a bone tip decorated with openwork silver sheet and white metal cut into arabesques. The stock is partly covered with silver sheet metal open-worked with a continuous decorative pattern and 17 silver sheet metal bands chiselled with arabesques. Steel ramrod present. Mechanism non-functional. 160 cm (Barrel 121 cm). (Signs of wear and minor damage from use. Fairly good condition).
