United States, First World War. US Model 1917 Bolo knife. Steel frame, wooden scales. White blade with manufacturer’s mark on the heel: ‘PLUMB.PHILA 1918’ on one side and ‘US MOD 1917’ on the other. Sheath covered with its khaki webbing cover with a fawn leather tip engraved with the manufacturer’s mark “BRAUER BROSS 1918”. Complete. 37.5 cm (Blade 25.5 cm).
