Prussia, late 19th – early 20th century.
Enlisted uniform of a hussar from the 5th Squadron of the 9th Strasbourg Hussars, prior to 1910.
- "Attila" enlisted tunic, 1895 model.
Made from fine blue satin-weave wool cloth, with yellow brandebourgs. Lined in black satin. Features a tailor’s label under the collar marked “Kyhnitzsch”. Stamped brass buttons. Collar discs are present and the shoulder epaulette buttons are marked “5”. Worn.
- Knickerbockers, from the same tailor, in fine blue satin-finish wool cloth with flat vertical yellow braid, woven in a herringbone pattern, on the outside of each leg. Inner lining at the waistband in ecru striped cotton canvas. A "Kyhnitzsch" tailor’s label is present in the waistband, identical to that on the jacket. Worn.
(signs of wear and minor damage, a few small moth holes on the waistcoat, moth holes and numerous repairs on the culottes; in fairly good condition).
