Description
Germany, Second World War. KM Model 38 officer’s dagger. Issue model. Brass mountings, wooden tang covered with white celluloid featuring a filigree pattern. Nickel-plated blade with slight traces of oxidation, etched with spread-out naval anchor motifs, dolphins and foliage, bearing the logo and manufacturer’s mark “ORIGINAL EICKHORN SOLINGEN” on the heel. Brass scabbard engraved with palmettes and scrolls, with two suspension rings; the straps are decorated with oak leaves. (Signs of wear and tear, in the condition found; fairly good condition).
