Germany, Second World War. ‘Oberbrandmeister’ fireman’s belt, 1933 model. Nickel-plated eagle-head pommel, black ebonite scales with two small aluminium rivets, S-shaped crossguard. Nickel-plated blade marked with the manufacturer’s logo “Robert KLAAS SOLINGEN”. Steel scabbard, formerly repainted black. 37 cm (blade 25 cm). (Signs of wear and minor damage, previously restored, in fairly good condition).
