Born in 1834, Marie Auguste Aimé de la ROCHELAMBERT was the son of the Marquis Henri Michel Scipion de la ROCHELAMBERT (1789–1863) and the Countess Marie Charlotte Appolonie de Bruges (1803–1839). He was awarded the Legion of Honour on 9 August 1864
