Description
Nepal, 20th century. Pair of Tara in dark patina bronze, depicted in lalitasana, right leg dangling, other bent. Each figure has four arms: the main hands perform the vitarkamudra and hold a cup-shaped attribute; the secondary arms carry a Buddhist emblem and a sword respectively.
The deities wear a high, ornate crown and finely modelled earrings, necklaces and bracelets.
Modern plinths. Wear and small gaps on the surface. Fingers missing.
