Description
Louis Théophile HINGRE (1832–1911). Large circular bowl in chiselled bronze, gilded and copper-plated. The handles feature relief decoration of swans emerging from foliage; the bowl is centred on a trophy of musical instruments; the vase-shaped body is adorned with drapery and faces; the whole rests on a multi-lobed base ending in four spinning-top feet. Second half of the 19th century. 35 x 34 x 27.5 cm. (one handle needs tightening).
