Description
A clock with a curvilinear case, featuring so-called ‘Boulle’ marquetry of tortoiseshell and brass. The circular dial displays Roman numerals for the hours and Arabic numerals for the minutes, set on white enamelled discs, and is signed ‘CAZENAVE TOULOUSE’. Ornamentation in chiselled and gilded bronze, including corner finials, accent mouldings and a rocaille foliage motif. The whole rests on four feet in the shape of acanthus leaves.
With key, sun-shaped pendulum and spiral gong.
