Description
A substantial mantelpiece set in patinated regule and onyx, comprising a clock and a pair of vases.
The clock, featuring a sculpture by Auguste MOREAU (1834–1917) entitled ‘La Fête des Fleurs’, resting on a stepped, ogee-shaped plinth featuring a white enamelled dial with hours and quarters marked in Arabic numerals, surrounded by a stylised coat of arms, with feet in leaf-motif volutes. Comes with key, timbre and pendulum.
The pair of baluster-shaped vases with two stylised handles terminating in ram’s heads, featuring children in the round on the body; the bases echo the decorative motifs of the clock.
