Description
A small chest of drawers in burl veneer, with marquetry on all sides in exotic woods and mother-of-pearl inlays depicting a rich decoration of vases of flowers, birds and foliage scrolls. The top is of a scalloped shape, the front featuring two drawers separated by a slender crossbar, the cut-out waistband, the bevelled side panels, the whole resting on four tapered legs joined by an X-shaped crossbar adorned with stylised volutes and finished with four ball feet. Ornamentation in chiselled and gilded bronze, such as the handle pulls and lock plates.
