Royal Manufactory of BEAUVAIS, 18th century. Diana on her chariot drawn by two does Sofa backrest in finely woven tapestry of wool and silk. The decorative frame of the seat features trophies of wild boar, hare, duck and swans. Louis XV period. 89 x 197 cm. (sun damage, restoration and probably repainted). Note: This is a lovely and very interesting piece, as seat tapestries are often irreparably damaged by centuries of use.
