Description
Folding fan, late 19th–early 20th century. Tortoiseshell frame; the fan head is adorned with a metal monogram, cut out and applied. Fan leaf painted in gouache: the front depicts a romantic scene in a park in the 18th-century style, signed M. Douliot; the reverse features a neoclassical design of a gilded shell and floral garlands. In good overall condition. Preserved in a case by Maison Rebours in Paris, the lid decorated with a painted monogram. 16 ribs (14 ribs and 2 plumes).
