Description
Large antique school abacus on a wooden stand. The front panel and the lower crossbar feature a carved and openwork design of quatrefoil motifs. It is fitted with ten rows of painted wooden beads (green, yellow, brown and black) that slide along metal rods. The whole piece rests on two feet fitted with glides.
Dimensions: H. 180 cm, W. 84 cm, D. 51 cm. Condition: signs of wear and tear, scratches and scuff marks on the frame, slight flaking of the paint on the beads.
