Description
Sabretache plate dating from the Second Empire. Made of stamped brass, the central motif depicts the Imperial Coat of Arms. It shows an eagle perched on a shield, surrounded by the Grand Collar of the Legion of Honour. Also depicted are a helmet, an imperial crown, a sceptre and a hand of justice, all set upon an ermine mantle adorned with bees. 17 x 13 cm. The item shows a slight patina, minor distortions and small areas of oxidation.
