Description
KRIEGER in Paris.
A rare child’s desk in mahogany and mahogany veneer, opening via a belt-style drawer. Richly decorated with gilded bronze fittings featuring posts, scrolls, fleurons and cascading blossoms. It stands on four fluted and twisted legs supporting a spandrel-adorned top with a curly veneer (fitted with a glass panel). Stamped near the lock.
A late 19th-century piece inspired by the work of Adam WEISWEILER (1744–1820).
H. 60 cm, W. 55 cm, D. 100 cm
In very good overall condition, with slight sun damage to the top.
