Description
Small rectangular folding table, known as a writing table, in mahogany and rosewood veneer. The leg-and-shaft base is joined by a crossbar supporting three drawers at the front; the top drawer is fitted as a writing surface. Top in dark Sainte Anne grey marble. 18th century, Louis XVI period. H. 68.5 cm, W. 43 cm, D. 31 cm. Restored (particularly the top), with signs of wear and small chips in the veneer. Stenciled ‘GV’ mark on the rear panel.
