Émile GALLÉ (1846-1904)
Conical vase with open neck and oval body. Pink glass lined with brown granite and marbled with green, red and yellow-orange. Decorated with two iridescent glass side cabochons with limpet bodies and inlaid with an opal cabochon and a small twisted white shell.
Signed on the reverse and dedicated "To my dear son Lucien affectionately".
Height: 13 cm
History: Lucien was Émile Gallé's son-in-law. He married Thérèse Gallé in 1902 and worked at the glassworks until the 1920s.
Provenance: Former Émile Gallé collection; has remained in the family ever since.
