Description
The Office of Holy Week. For use in Rome and Paris, in Latin and French. With an explanation of the Church’s ceremonies, and instructions, prayers and brief reflections on the Mysteries and Offices celebrated during this Holy Week. By the Reverend Abbé de Bellegarde. Paris, Collombat, 1732. In-8, red morocco, ribbed spine with ornamentation, richly decorated with a fanfare design on the covers and the coat of arms of Louis XV on the spine, gilt edges (contemporary binding). A small tear and snag at the top of the spine, corners very slightly worn. Complete copy. The illustrations consist of a frontispiece, a title page and three engravings by Humblot, engraved by Scotin, appearing as separate plates. A fine copy.
