MARIVAUX (Pierre Carlet de Chamblain de). Selected Plays, published in two volumes by F. de Marescot and D. Jouaust with a preface by F. Sarcey. Paris, Librairie des bibliophiles, 1881. 2 vols. in-8, dark green half-maroquin, ribbed spine, title, volume number and date gilded on the tail, gilded head (contemporary binding). Reprint based on the 1732 and 1758 editions for the ‘Nouvelle bibliothèque classique’ collection. A very fine copy from the limited edition on large-format paper, limited to 200 numbered copies; this is one of the 170 printed on Holland paper.
