Le Vasseur et Cie, 1894. 6 volumes in uniform red half-shagreen binding with corner pieces, richly decorated ribbed spine, gilt title and volume number, double gilt line, gilt edges, covers preserved (contemporary binding). Volumes 1 and 2: Tales and Short Stories in Verse by Jean de La Fontaine, with a portrait of La Fontaine on the frontispiece, portraits of La Fontaine and Duplessis-Bertaux in medallions on the title page, and vignettes by Duplessis-Bertaux at the head of the tales. Volumes 3 and 4: *Le Fond du Sac*. A collection of tales in verse. Allegorical frontispiece and heading vignettes by Duplessis-Bertaux, Fesquet and Ganier, engraved by Champollion, amongst others. Volumes 5 and 6: Tales and Short Stories in Verse by Voltaire, Vergier, Sénecé, Perrault, Moncrif and Father Ducerceau.
