Paris, Pierre Ribou, 1708–1707. 2 vols. in-12, [2]–357–[3] pp., [2]–278 pp., red morocco, richly decorated ribbed spine, title and volume number in gold, place and date on the tail, triple gilt fillet framing the covers, gilt filleted edges, interior lace, gilt edges (Bound by Rivière & Son). First collected edition, illustrated with 2 frontispieces (including the one in Volume II depicting a scene from the play *Démocrite*) and 8 intaglio-engraved plates. Excluding *Le Légataire universel* (2 unnumbered folios, 103 pp. and 1 unnumbered folio) and *La Critique du Légataire* (1 unnumbered folio and 21 pp.), published in the same year, 1708, by Ribou, and often bound together with this edition.
