In-8, burgundy shagreen, spine with four raised bands, author’s name and title in gold, gilt headband, wide interior lace, lining and endpapers in brocaded silk with fine gilt decoration, cover and spine preserved. Charming colour illustrations by Pierre Brissaud, printed separately. Print run of 1,025 copies; no. 56 of 95 on Arches vellum. A fine, untrimmed copy, with a few very slight scuffs on the spine.
