Lemerre Collection, 1889. 2 vols., small quarto, turquoise half-maroquin with corner pieces, ribbed spine, title and volume number in gold, place, publisher and date at the foot, double blind-stamped band on the covers, gilt headbands, covers preserved (Dupré). A deluxe edition limited to 50 copies on handmade paper specially printed for Mr A. Ferroud, containing three states (clean, preliminary and with lettering) of the 12 etchings by Dawant engraved by Gujean, namely: 1 frontispiece, 1 title vignette and 10 inset plates. Headpieces, initials and tailpieces engraved by Émile Mas after Sébastien Leclerc (no. 11 printed for Dr L. Bourdery). Spine sun-faded, otherwise a fine copy.
