Large quarto, royal blue morocco, spine with two thick raised bands, gilt title, composition on ivory-coloured cloth on the front cover reproducing the cover illustration, gilt headband, lining and endpapers of paper with a painted decoration in black and blue on a white background, original illustrated cover preserved, in a slipcase covered in the same paper as the endpapers, with flaps (M. Prince). 66 copperplate engravings by Albert Decaris. Print run of 550 numbered copies; no. 72 of 530 on Rives vellum in the original format. Spine badly sun-faded and turned green, otherwise a fine copy.
