In-4, brown-red morocco, spine with four filleted raised bands, gilt title, painted design in the centre of the spine and a frame of gilt fleurons at the top and bottom, double frame of double gilt fillets and a single gilt fillet with an inner garland of gilt geometric fleurons on the covers, gilded head, inner border of double gilt fillet and geometric fleurons at the corners, cover and spine preserved (E. Berthet). Slight rubbing on one rib. Coloured woodcuts by Geo-Fourrier, engraved by Aug. Mathieu, both in the text and as illustrations. Print run of 1,000 copies (+ 51 hc); no. 294 of 960 on Rives vellum in the original format. A fine copy.
