A small handwritten collection from the late 18th century containing bacchanalian and miscellaneous arias (including works by Jean-Baptiste de Bousset, excerpts from *La Grotte de Versailles*, drinking songs, *Folies d’Espagne*, *Les Vénitiens*, rondeaux, etc.) no place, no date. Oblong 12mo (12 x 18 cm) comprising [132] pp. of music handwritten in brown ink. Brown calfskin, ribbed spine with plain decoration (contemporary binding). A large tear, with no loss, on one leaf. The corners of the last three leaves are gnawed. A handwritten musical scale on the front endpaper and a drawing of a jester (or a character from the Commedia dell’Arte) dancing on the back endpaper.
