In-4, loose-leaf; black lithographs, both in-text and out-of-text. Limited edition of 145 copies, one of the 44 numbered in Roman numerals for contributors; signatures of the society’s president and vice-president on the numbering page.
This copy includes, as loose inserts protected by mount paper and plastic, an original gouache depicting a view of Meknes (1947) and a dry pastel of a bustling street in Fez (1947).
Cover bound in handmade paper, in the publisher’s hardback slipcase; minor damage to the corners of the slipcase.
Included: CLÉMENT-JANIN (Noël): *Le Livre d’artiste*. Decorated with an original drypoint portrait of Benjamin Constant and twelve studies intended to illustrate *Adolphe* by Georges JEANNIT, wood-engraved in black and colour by Jules Germain.
Quarto, loose sheets. Printed in a run of 115 numbered copies, one of the five on Japanese paper, containing three states of the drypoint on Japanese paper, a double proof plus a black proof of each colour woodcut (missing?), and a black suite of all the illustrations on Chinese paper. Pinholes.
