The Duke of Morny and society during the Second Empire* (a volume adorned with 22 illustrations). ½ green morocco, ribbed spine decorated with a crown, imperial eagle and bee within panels surrounded by four bees at the corners; slight rubbing; publisher’s covers retained. - MARTEL (Tancrède): Memoirs and Works of Napoleon. Illustrated from contemporary engravings and paintings and preceded by a literary study. Paris, Albin Michel, undated (c. 1910). In-8, 470 pp.; illustrations on glossy paper, separate from the text. ½ emerald-green chagrin bound, signed CREUZEVAULT, plain decorated spine with Empire-style metal fittings featuring a scattering of bees, spine slightly sun-faded, gilt head. A fine copy.
