In-12, worn full binding in fawn sheepskin. Ribbed spine decorated with a red leather title label, gilded squares, fleurons and garlands (heavily tarnished). The usual wear to the top and bottom edges. 12 ff. + 340 pp. + 10 ff. (table of contents).
A worn copy of this attractive edition, illustrated with engravings after Holbein, comprising an allegorical frontispiece, a title vignette, a plate of portraits, 74 amusing figures and 6 fold-out plates.
