The Life and Adventures of Little Pompey is a satirical novel published in 1752 (first published in England in 1751), translated from the English by Francis Coventry into French by François-Vincent Toussaint. The book recounts the misadventures of a small pet dog named Pompée, who observes and critiques the human society of his time.
