Ribbed spine, decorated with gilt metalwork and fleurons. Minor, usual wear to the head and foot. Blunted corners, some scuffing on the covers. Separate frontispiece and 35 separate intaglio-engraved plates, 2 separate folded music sheets. An anonymous continuation of Don Quixote. It was once attributed to Le Sage. Although its literary qualities are a far cry from those of Cervantes’ work, this continuation, full of twists and turns and incredible adventures, is not without its colour. The final volume is entitled *The Story of Sancho Panza, Mayor of Blandanda* An illustrated edition featuring 36 picturesque engravings.
