A reprint of Volume III alone of Bohan’s classic work, first published in 1781, which had become very rare by the early 19th century. It deals exclusively with the cavalry and was specifically sought after by officers of that branch.François-Philibert Loubat de Bohan (1751–1804) ended his military career as Major-General of the Gendarmerie, and in that capacity, directed the Royal Riding School at Lunéville until his retirement in 1791.
