[NUMISMATICS] Royal edict concerning the new minting of silver coins: an increase in the weight of the ‘marc d’argent le roy’ and the ‘quarts d’escu’, testons and francs bearing His Majesty’s coat of arms and insignia, being of their correct weight; and the continued circulation of underweight silver coins, subject to the grain penalty, until the end of next March; and furthermore, a seigniorage duty on goldsmith’s work and gold refineries: with a new valuation; together with the verification judgement of the Court of the Mints, dated 18 November 1641, subject to the exceptions contained therein.
