[BOOK OF ECCLESIASTICAL WRITINGS] Novum Missale Romanum The Roman Missal, restored by decree of the Most Holy Council of Trent, published by order of Pope St Pius V, and reviewed under the authority of Clement VIII and Urban VIII, in which the most recent Masses of the Saints are carefully arranged. Augsburg, published at the expense of the Veith brothers, booksellers, in the year of our Lord 1745. In folio. Full black velvet binding mounted on wooden ribs (it would appear that the cloth has been replaced). Large solid silver hook clasps. On each cover, a large silver plate bearing a foreign heraldic motto (unidentified). Gilded edges. Out-of-text copperplate engravings, drawn and engraved by Zimerman. Music for sacred chants. This Missal is enriched with additional leaves devoted to specific religious feasts not mentioned in the work: *Missa propria in festo SS Cordis Jesu*, *In festo S. Hieronymi Aemiliani confessoris*. A highly decorative binding.
