Small folio, bound in full contemporary vellum, ribbed spine, title label partly missing. Frontispiece title page, large heraldic vignette, map of the Netherlands with coats of arms, 41 plates of portraits and 1 allegorical figure, full-page, very slight traces of damp.
The most complete edition, adorned with remarkable intaglio engravings by Pierre Belten – alias Balhasar.
A former owner has painted in watercolour part of the frontispiece title page and a small section of two plates, and has filled the copy with old portraits pasted onto white sheets, followed by four sheets of handwritten notes and engravings.
